Well done Robert,
The atmosphere of the scene is very good. I like it very much.
You did well with the tree surelevated , nice vegetation and fallen leaves.
You know certainly that you have some deficits with figure painting so we leave that for the next vignette.
Cheers
Claude

Its well composed and tells a story - for me thats counts a lot. You should try to take pictures outside in daylight to awoid the flash, it will give you better colors.
Good work!

Hi Robert,
wish I could do groundwork and trees to that standard exellent, maybe a little more of a mound were the fallen soldier is buried.Figures need some work on detail and painting add some weapon slings, helmet chin straps from lead foil or tape, attention to detail like painting soles of boots webbing, combat knife on calf would be strapped into the leg more.Theres plenty of how to do,s on site .Hope I hav,nt been to critical just a few tips to help.
Cheers Phil H

Great to see another vignette/diorama story teller amoung us. Keep going with it. Your ground work is good.
As mentioned there is some room for improvement on the figures. One thing I would look at is pastels. Art pastels, the chalk kind. Scape some into a pile and use a soft bristle brush to brush the pigment on to areas that would get dirty, boots, knees, elbows....
Use colors that tie into the ground colors to unify the pieces.
