I participated with my centurion and won first prize in the "Junior-competion" :-) !

I won a Tamaya tank, M60A1, very nice kit. I will build / paint that one before I build my sherman that I bought on the gala / festival.

I will try to paint it with an undercoat of polished steel, a basecoat of Humbrol spray, and a wash, Anybody who know a link for this sort of tank (desert).

Now it come to build... the tank has over 150 parts, and I have never build a tank, do you have any tips for building one?

Congrats Aragorn! Good result. I've got no link for the desert M60, but if you're interested in I can post a few pics of Italian M60s. Just let me know. If the tank is from Tamiya, no aslle, just follow the instruction sheet.
Ciao and bravo!!!

I have just built the driving seat, using super glue, haven't got anything else. When I now trying to build the edges of the lower hull, the superglue don't work. Tamya says that I should use cellophane tape. I tried that too, a bit better, but the edge don't grip.

Hey Jamal
If you are having problems like this, take your kit to the next "Byggkväll". There are loads of guys building tanks, figures and aeroplanes. You will get lots of tips and help to build it properly. Might as well learn right from the start.
The adress and times are on the IPMS website.

Congratulations on the win. Any win is a big deal. The Tamiya M-60 kit is pretty straightforward and easy to build. You can go so many color schemes with that one. It was in service with the US for 30 years so it cold go from just OD to desert scheme. When I was in them we had the European woodlands scheme which I find rather attractive for a display model.

Yes Aragorn I did. You're welcome and I love to share the reference material I've got. Actually I've got much more including a full set of the interiors of the M60. Pics n.1 and four are quite intersting because were shot in Somalia during the peace keeping mission. If you want more just ask for them and I'll post more.
Ciao
