Hi!

Is there a T 34/76 M43 with a comander cupola on the market? Every kit I've seen so far seems to be lacking it...

Hi Danu,

Tamiya`s old T 34/76 Model 1943 can you build optional as the late version with the commander cupola.

Tamiya's kit included it, but the kit turret is incorrectly proportioned, and the cupola has been distorted to fit.

Thanks guys! Under these circumstances, should I go on with the tamyia one, or buy a T 34/76 M43 and a T 34/85 and use the cupola from the latter?

Tamiya's kit was a motorized model from 1974 which compromised things like hull angles and general dimensions. The molding is crisp, but it isn't as accurate as current T-34's.
A replacement cupola is available in resin from Tankmaker, which is sold online by The Tank Workshop in the USA--you'll have to do a search to see who carries the line in Europe. That would be more economical than buying a whole second kit, as the resin item costs $9.00 USD. On the other hand, the general detailing of the Zvezda T-34-76 Model 1943 is not as nice as Dragon's, so you might want to use the Dragon T-34-85 Model 1944 as a donor kit for other things, like tracks and hull parts, as well as the cupola.
