I am researchinhg the POST WW2 Shermans thnatr France delivered to the IDF in the 50s. I came across a reference of French M4A3s being re-engined with Cont. Radial Engines from M4/M4A1 gun tanks. Is this so?
If so it would match with reports of M50s and M51s with 47 degree late hulls and Radial engine decks.
Thanks, as always
Chris

You should be able to find more info about this in Robert Manasherob's new book.
