Hey,
I know this sounds stupid but what colour do i use to paint my kv1 Instructions say Russian Green (1) (Trump kit) but i cant find checked my LHS they haven't got it.
What colour could i use to replace it? I prefer it not from an air can.
Thanks in advance

I used Model Master Forrest Green for my T-34-85. Really any dark green will do. Especially since the color will chage significantly after the vehicle has been weathered. I used the technique described by Ron Goins on this site and was pleased with the results.

I used Model MAster Dark Green in a water based formula. It is a still dark but not as dark as some. Russian color is everything from lite green, to kelly green, to a dark almost black green. Basically if it was green it got put on the tanks.

WW2 Soviet 4BO green is close to, if I recall, FS 34102. That's a fairly dark, very slightly olive green, closer to a forest green than, say, OD.
This is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth, but I don't really agree with the idea that it could be virtually any shade of green. There was a standard color just like in other armies. Whether the paint (as opposed to the color) varied a bit is an open question.
Having said all this, it is your model so you might as well pick a dark green that you like and is reasonably related to FS 34102.
The other thing to keep in mind is, it is rare these days for model contest judges to ding people for "wrong" colors....another reason to pick the shade you like.
Hope you find this slightly helpful.
