Folks, these are some pics I took from the actual diorama I am working on.
This is the first carboard building I built; I used carboard and balsa wodd for the main structure, which I covered in carboard stones.
The tiles are made from plastic straws.
Still needs some final touches.
Kits are from Revell, Italeri, which I decided to "bring back to life in a diorama" after many years of being on a shelf.
I scratched the Blitz tarp with some fabric.
All comments will be very, very much appreciated.
Cheers.
Pablo

The building looks great. Do you have any eye level shots of the figures and the painting?

Very cool scene.
I am curious to hear more about the way you built the building. You mention materials, how about steps?

I agree, from what can be seen it looks great. I also would like to see some closeups of the building and how you completed the roof. I am guessing thats where you used the straws, and it's a great idea.
Something behind the windows would also be in order, hollowed out and dark would be one idea.

Thanks for all your feedback, folks!
Here are some closer pics (sorry for the blurriness, I still do not understand all the features of my camera)
Concerning the roof, yes, I used some plastic straws; I cut them into 0,5 cm long pieces and glued it to the roof (made from balsa wood). Then painted with acrylics.
The walls (made from cardboard) were later covered with the stones, made from cork, and painted with acrylics.
The windows frames are made with some plastic precints and pinewood strips. The curtains are made with fabric.
The door step are made from pinewood strips, covered with spackle, and painted with a mix of white/gray/sand acrylics.
The hanging light is schratchbuilt.
The figures still need some work on the faces. The paint frame is an small peltre photo frame, covered with a light coat of matt enamel, then treated with an hb pencil.
The floor will be a layer of plaster. Later I will carve the cobblestone pattern.
Again, thanks for your feeback. I will post some update photos.
