Excellent Sd.Kfz, Mayer! I can see that you live up to your profile title of "Flakgunner"
The job on the whitewash looks very good. Sort of white wash in late winter just before the snow starts to disappear.
The front wind screen seems to be very brownish dirty. Would it not be more appropriate if it was more white as snow or frost? If everything is froozen very little dirt will make it to the wind screen.
Thanks for participating
hey,
Thanks Jesper, these beasts are still fun to build, despite being so old, personally ,I think the Sd.Kfz with the armored cab,is the worst of the Tamiya three, those armored panel, never do quite line up,this build here, was a lot of fun,and was my first attempt at dry brushing the white ,over a large area, onto the dark gray,it is surprising how much control you have over the amount, just takes some extra time ,to build the coverage. The scratches, was nothing more than dragging a old hobby blade lightly across it. The windshield ,i'll need to redo.wasn't until i took these pics, that i realized,it isn't working,I would have been better off not making the attempt.to heavy, wrong color

I think I will try your hobby blade method next time I make a white wash vehicle as your result is very good. Normally I use maskol.

Hi Andrzej. Funny, I was planning on doing the exact same thing. What version do you have? I assume it is one of the Trumpeter kits?
Have you seen Trumpeter released a crew man to do along with the kit. Looks good and would help add some "scale" to the tank.
Hi, Jesper!
Sorry for not answering so long, I was on business trip.
You've guessed correctly - it is a Trumpeter kit 00903 (T34/76 model 1943). I also bought turned metal barrel (Armo 1601).

I’m planning to make a diorama with Dragon figure of German Panzerjaeger running next to the driving tank with a magnetic mine in one hand and MP40 in another. After Trumpeter produced their own figure of Russian tank crewman I started to think about using their figure - it would allow me to leave the tank with all hatches opened (showing the interior).

I finally decided to commit to doing the Sturer Emil I mentioned before for this campaign. In the last week, I have gotten the chassis more or less done, but my girlfriend swiped her camera back and mine is on the blink. I'll post an update pic when the camera situation gets sorted. Anyway, I signed up at least.

Great, Vance.
I am looking forward to see your build. I have this kit in my stash so it will be interesting to see how it builds up.
Welcome onboard

@ Keith - nice job, very nice, realistic look of camo!.
@ Marcin - are you using gloss or semi-gloss varnish to achieve this wet look of mud?
Great work

- I have to finally finish my enrty - it is waiting its turn since over a month...

It's rather gloss and it's Pronto Floor Polish - cheap and good for modelling use.

Greetings all,
Been a while since I've indicated what progress I've made on my 'White-Washed'. With all the other terrific looking projects completed and going on, it is past due. I've been working on a couple projects and turns out that my 1/35 Tamiya 'JagdPanther (Late)' is coming along faster than my Tamiya 'Tiger I (Mid)'. I hope to get both done, but will now focus on the Jagdpanther first. Also, I'd finished a 'camo' job on the JagdPanther that turned out lousy and I wasn't happy with it (experimenting with 'Silly Putty' method). Instead of either replacing the upper hull completely, re-doing the paint job, or just doing the the whole build over, I've decided to try a 'white-wash' on the JagdPanther. It's my first attempt at a 'white-wash' and I know I'll need to do some washes/weathering to tone down and blend, but thought I'd give it a go to see how it might look. Feedback always appreciated. Thanks,

Hi all,
Nice entries so far! I think I'm actually going to get my Pz IV finished before the deadline. The schurzen are finally painted with base colour after several failed attempts. The base white wash coat will be done this weekend

Hey is it too late to enter this Campaign? I just noticed it today and I am 90 percent done with the construction of Dragon's Pz IV G that I was going to whitewash. Thank you in advance for a response. If I missed a deadline that is OK, pretty awesome just to see some great looking armor!
