Hi all, this is my 3rd diorama, please give me your thoughts. Although not the best vignette ever made, plus there may be some kit inaccuracies, I've had loads of fun with it. The whole vignette took little over a week to finish, at a cost of under $25 Australian dollars. Though I’m hoping to move into 1/35, I will definitely continue to make dioramas in this scale from time-to-time.

I think you've done a fine job out of this little vignette.

It could be the picture but it appears that the tires have a different type of dust colour than the groundwork. I should think that some uniformity would blend things nicely.
Although dust will very often have a different colour than the soil itself I there's also a matter of getting the "sit" of the diorama just right.

Regards,
Kyrre

This is a great use of a small space. Those braille scale kits can be a challenge to work on.

For the next one watch the seams on the figures. Use a new #11 (sharp and pointy) hobby blade and gently scrape off the seams. With this type of rubbery plastic and in a small scale you've got to go slow and carefully.

If you can on the next one, watch the gaps. Get a bit of putty and fill in the gaps. There is one on the leg of the AA and then at the top of the cab.

I think you show a lot of promise and will start building great diroamas, just keep at it.

It looks great, especially for 1/72! I'm STILL scared of that squinty-scale...

Hey Chas,

I was hoping to do the same kit set in an emplacement on Malta--with the stonework cammo pattern on the Morris truck. It looks like a decent kit--you've done a great job!

Very nice set up. Working in those small scales has got to be hard. My hat is off to you and your excellent job.
