I'm a newbie here so apologies in advance, but can anyone advise where I can get plastic linked tracks for the Tamiya 8 ton halftrack (35148)?
I thought the rubber ones looked OK until I built my 18t Famo. The rubber stip ones look stiff and don't sag against the wheels like they should.
I've had a look around on this site but can't see anything that seems to do the trick.
Cheers.
Simon.

One possibility is Modelkasten MK20 which is a non-working track-set
for the SdKfz 7 variants. Non-working means that it isn't flexible once
it has been assembled. There are other sets from Modelkasten for
other vehicles where the track-links are assembled so that they can
move like the real thing.
Sorry: Don't know which retailer is the closest one for you, if you can shop via internet/mail-order there are many to choose from.

Thanks Robin,
I've ordered a set of those from Modelkasten. I appreciate the advice.

Actually, despite the stock number, the Model Kasten set is workable, their first such set. It also includes replacements for the outer road wheels, so the dreadful Tamiya vinyl hubcaps don't need to be used.

Yes, thanks Gerald I've got them and they are far superior to the original Tamiya road wheels.
