Hi folks. Here is my "Thunderbolt VII" almost done.
I tried to weather it in the Sven-Ake style, and while I didn't get it quite like he does, I must say that I'm happy with how it is turning out.
It still needs a few finishing touches and I want to build a small base for it too. I've found that handling 1/72 makes the paint rub off of corners moreso than on larger scale kits, hence a base will be very good for the longevity of the kit.
Anyway, enjoy. More pics when I finish

Thanks! You're my braille-scale hero, and that means a whole lot coming from you!
Your method makes weathering 1/72 much easier than anything else I've tried.

That looks fantastic mate!
Lovely work. I will definitely get this kit, beats the old Hasegawa Sherman M4A3E8 I built which is not 1:72!
Just needs a base now

Gday Ralph
That is one of the best finishes I've seen in this scale mate!
Whatever the method, it is surely working...
One gripe would be the thickness of the rope holding the stowage? If you can manage something thinner I reckon she's damn near perfect
Great stuff

Thanks Mike
I purchased a small 3x5 base and now its just a matter of putting some ground cover on it. I'll get around to it at some point this week.

Thank you Brad, I'm glad you like it.
The rope is certainly large, and I must admit that I was trying to simulate a thick hemp rope (I've since dyed it a light tan color), but that the effect isn't what I was hoping for.

Thank you Petros
One note to all out there, if you like the stowed gear on this tank, they are all from Corporal Ken's line. He makes a wonderful product so look him up if you're ever on the lookout for 1/72 accessories or conversions!
