Hello folks, wanted to share my latest build, Chilean Marines M-998 HMMWV.

For this one I used the Tamiya M-1025 kit, Mig Productions M-998 resin conversion and Super Swamper wheels from Pro Arts Models (this ones are accurate for the Chilean Marines version). The spare wheel rack its from scratch.

The stencils are from Archer Transfers and hand painted (not the best, but works....next one will be better ), painted with Vallejo Acrylics with hand brush. Camo net with tissue paper soaked with white glue and completed with herbal tea leaves, the air recognition panel also tissue paper. Both were added to hide a little the awful gaps present after the conversion was installed.

Weathered with airbrush, artist oils and Mig Pigments.

Hope you like it and constructive comments most welcome.

Cheers

Quite a nice humvee, definitely more unusual for what kind of humvees modellers make. Great job.

Klaus, very nice. Really like the weathering. You are the man when it comes to modeling Chilean vehicles.

Very nice, Klaus! I think the weathering came out looking very good, and you did a good job hiding the gaps left by the conversion. The hand-painted insignia don't look to bad, either. You certainly have a steadier hand and better artistic sense than I do.

Thanks Jim

Thanks Lucas, still have to improve my skills in that area, I cannot print decals for stuff like that, so will not be the last attempt. The next one will be better for sure.

Cheers
