Hey there everyone.
This is my build log for my Diorama "Survival Of The Fittest".
It's going to be a cross between Warhammer 40k, and Predator the film.
The idea is this, I will be using the Forgeworld Crashed Valkyrie as my diorama base. Building on that, i will be using the Andrea Predator mixing with a bit of putty to move the limbs. The predator will be holding the Games Workshop Tyranid Broodlord By the neck, dangling it off the raised wing of the Valkyrie. Underneath the Valkyrie i will be hiding some re-worked Games Workshop Cadian Shocktroops, Hiding from the Broodlord.
I have some basic sketches, which i will post up ones my scanner is fixed.
Thanks for looking.

Interesting!! And so very different from the norm we see. Looking forward to seeing more. Silly Q, but I assume all the items are of the same scale (or close to it)?
I really like that Valkyrie!

Sounds like quite a project - is it for the MG campaign Support Team 40K?
Maybe we can get a thread going over there in the Sci-Fi forum - get everyone seeing it as you go.

Mike: All the warhammer products are of the same scale. (1/56th i believe) However, the andrea predator is 1/32nd, Or 54mm for us figure builders, this should bring the predator to the rough size of its film double, in comparison to the Shock Troops.
Scott: I didn't actually know there was such a campaign, thanks for bringing it to my knowledge.

Andrea also sell directly via their website.
The prices are ok, but the postage was quite high from Spain to South Africa. It might be cheaper to Scotland...
Have you started working on the rest of the dio? Any pics yet?
Also, don't GW have a suitable replacement for the predator in their tyranid collection?

Tarok, I haven't started as yet, I'm waiting on Forgeworld to get the Valkyrie out to me before i begin anything, &I don't think GW have a predator type figure in their collection, Might be wrong though.

Hey guys. Quick update.
I haven't bought the predator figure yet, a close friend&fellow predator fanatic sent me this link.
http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-30303397-predator-54mm-original-depredador-miniatura-alien-soldado-_JM
Anyone any good at translating? It looks like a decent figure, and i'd like to use it as well.
The base has arrived, but i've got a lot of work to do, quite a lot of flash.
I've actually put a lot of research into this project, I know fairly a lot about predator, being a keen fan, but i have been on the computer most of my free time, ordering books etc (Believe it or not, they have shelf loads of refrence etc)
I'll upload photos soon.

Here's my translation:
Original unassembled and unpainted lead miniature!! As shown in picture #2.
54 mm tall, for $22.
This miniature is an original design--you will not find it anywhere else, as we have sculpted and produced it ourselves here at Mordortoys!!!
[Figure] comes with a full-color print to use as a painting guide, if desired.
Great as a decoration, a gift, or for you to assemble and paint!!
Ask us about our original dragon, Pegasus, and Predator figures!! They are sculpted by the same Argentine artist here at Mordortoys!!
The rest of the text talks about their store in general and their product line. To see this company's list of available products (since the one you linked to was expired), click on the big bold text that reads "HACE CLICK ACA" about two-thirds of the way down the page. This company is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and don't specify shipping costs for delivery to the US. They do answer a question from a Brazilian interested in the item, and quote a shipping price of $8 for the Predator figure. I'd guess the cost for shipping the figure to the US would be double or triple that.
Hope this helps.
