Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd share with you this small diorama I've just finished featuring a Panzer Ausf.B, and set in Poland during the first week of the war.
The story behind it is the Panzer has got alittle lost as the roadsign to 'Krzepice' has been torn down, but the crew have aquired the assistance of a captured Polish officer to direct them. He explains the way is to turn their left, however a German approaches to tell them to the contrary that their to go right. Hence the title - "Link oder Recht ?".

The first 2 photo's are just the basic groundwork, and unpainted tank & figures. The groundwork was just polystyrene ceiling tiles, covered with tile grout, and the righthand corner tidied up with plastic card. The stones seen in the photo I replaced as they were too big for the scale, Static grass was added when the grout was still wet. The Panzer is Dragons Panzer1 Ausf B, and the figures are too from Dragon, 28th Infantry Division Poland 1939.

I'm not really that clever at painting and detailing figures & vehicles, I just go for an overall satisfactory project. I find as long as my latest dio is a little improvement on the last one, and new techniques are worked on then I'm happy. If I worried and stressed about trying to reach the exceptional standards of some of the models on these pages, then I know I wouldn't enjoy doing this as much.....

Thanks to all for looking, any comments much appreciated.......any praise & compliments even more appreciated...
Cheers for now
SIMON.

Hello,

although I'm not a big fan of early war vehicles, I really like this one and the Diorama.
Just a little hint: You have to redo the name plate. It's called Links oder rechts? - you forgot the 's' at the end.
But very nice in the whole.

A very good diorama. Simple and well executed! Great action and ground work.

I like it. Nice little scene. Good work on all aspects (groundwork, vehicle, figs). My only suggestion would be that the wheels are pretty well mudded over, especially the return rollers. This is not often seen and doesn't seem to fit the scene, since there is no mud evident. Just a thought. Otherwise, very well done.

Thanks for taking the time to leave some comments guys, much appreciated....

Thanks for pointing out the abscent 'S' on the name plate Johannes, I changed it straght away..

And you're quite right too Rob about the muddied wheels. I made the Panzer before I built the diorama, but didn't want to make the road muddy, just keep it dry. Lets just say the overnight rain hadn't reached as far as "Krzepice" yet!

Thanks again
SIMON.
