This mill wheel will be on the left side of the beergarden and I'll be making another one for the mill project I'm building.
First I took a metal ceiling light fixture cover thingie and laminated coffee stirs to the thickness I wanted.
Then built the inner framework, and as you can see a little more to go and - millwheel.
The hardest part was coming up with the process to make the round outer wheels.
I should be retired by Dec. 1st and I plan on mass producing these either by myself or through a friends company in resin.

Your BierGarten is going to look ultra-cool with that wheel Glenn!
I am right in congratulating you for your retirement? I am right to assume that it's a volunteer and very happy event ? (it would be in France) so, if it really is, my warmest congratulations!! and good luck for the mass production too!

This is a great wheel. Very authentic. I'd love to see it dry fit

Hi Glenn,
Yes, i was at Euro, but not in competition, because the castle exceeds the autorised size for dio's.
I had three consecutive weekends of expo, a lot of superbe and satisfying comments at the expos and on a lot of Internet sites.
I am somewhat tired now, perhaps all the pressure leading to the finish falls of my shoulders now. I am trying to sell the pictures to the magazines right now.
I do not want to use your thread now further. More talk about the expos and certainly more pictures of the castle at a later time.
Cheers

Claude, you have made history about history. Your hard work will pay off my friend, and the next step will be another project and more history !!!!!
You'll never take away from what Im posting or building by talking about your work. You have been a good friend and inspiration since you've started on the caslte and it's been an honor and a priviledge to be let into the build with your updates on and off the net.
Ok - what's next
Cheyenne.

Hi Glenn,
Thank you very much. For the moment i may ad one or two modules next to the castle. Primary reason is that i have 4 houses finishes and i want to see how the castle looks when set in perspective with the village.
Later, why not this one in 1/32 in a medieval setting?
It's the castle of Vianden, 20 km from Clervaux , and of course also in Luxemborg. Perhaps a market scene , 30-50 completely scuplted figures (because no civilian medieval available on the market), perhaps a knights tournament?
This morning i only took pics of Clervaux, i must use the last clear days to do some decent pictures.
Cheers

Great work with the wheels Glenn ... quite ingenious! They look really great when assembled ... what have you used for the studs .. some sort of brass product? Can´t wait to see this one assembled with a splash of paint!
Congrats on your retirement .. now you´ll have no time excuses
