Hi guys,
Just finished my second diorama, containing one of my "shelfqueens". It's a SdKfz 251/7 with a bunch of Sturmpioniere.
The idea behind it is that a fresh, unexperienced and cocky NCO has te lead a group of battleworn troops and dito vehicle into action.
They know to keep their head down, he doesn't... yet.

The indentation on the right side is due to me being a "bit" brutal.
Comments and suggestions are most welcome!!!

Overall view;

Because the trooper with the flamethrower disappeared behind the grass, he had to burn it sown to be seen..

Battle damage:

Gun & commander;

Interiorshots;

The troops;

And some atmospheric shots;

Great idea and dio Ron. I can picture these guys sitting there saying "I guess we'll get another new one soon..."

Nice job overall, composition is good, story is all too true.
Watch your seams on the figures next time. I prefer to see iron works that aren't as rusty so I would tone that down, but I also realize that's a personal preference deal.

Can't wait to see the next one.

Thanks for the comments, guys...

@ Scott; you're right about the seems. Pics are unforgiving in that matter. I should have give that proper attention.
The hedgehog isn't rusted up. It's painted in a red primer. I don't kniw if that was done for real, but I like the contrast it provides.

I have to agree on lighting - I'm working on some WH figures and under light seams pop up EVERYWHERE.
As far as the red primer goes - I like it primer better than rust. I probably would have been able to tell seeing it in person.

I really like the burnt grass. Sounds like it was kind of an after thought but I think it turned out really well and really adds to the dio.
