Hi Guys,
Here is my latest project - to create the most accurate 1/72 scale Tiger IE (early). It is a kitbash using Revell Ausf H hull, Ausf E turret, Dragon barrel, MIG early engine deck and Part photoetch. The cupola has been corrected and many small parts scratchbuilt.
What do you think?

Hi Steve!
I am not a Tiger expert so I can not comment its accuracy but it certainly looks excellent!
Must have been a BIG job to do all those details!

Crikey!
This is an ambitious project you are undertaking. It looks great and I cannot wait to see some paint on it.
Nice work!
cheers

being that it's 72nd scale.. you would get the sick puppy award at our club... beautiful job so far...
Saberdog says paint... honestly.. I think you should leave the kitty naked... it will show how much work you've put into it. just MHO.
again though Great job, I look forward to seeing the finish of this build

Steve,
Extremely well executed and very impressive! Can hardly wait to see you finish this project. Check out the Aber Tiger I barrel before painting your kit. The Aber barrel is a bit more crisp in detail adding to your already super kit bash.

That is some impressive work. The bashing is quite impressive too. Combining the different kits was a project in itself.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the kind comments! However, I've come up with a problem.
On another forum David Byrden, the noted Tiger expert, commented that this model did not exist as the loaders periscope was introduced before the spare track hangers. While I bow to his superior knowledge, I have several reference pics that seem to show sPz Abt 502 Tigers in Russia in Summer 1943 with spare track hangers and no loaders periscope (its difficult to tell definitively due to the angles of the pics.)
Can anyone (including David!) put me straight on this, as I've still got time to add a periscope.
Thanks,
Steve

Here's my suggestion: since you know it's gonna cause you sleepless nights if you DON'T add a periscope--and the definitive info comes up in the future--and since ou've aleady gotten some pretty good advice from an acknowledged "expert", then I would recommend you add it. It'll save you from having to defend your speculative photos from inquiries and/or criticisms in the future! Hi Guys,

BTW, looks tremendous! What exactly have you done to "correct" the turret?
