What color were Soviet tanks in late WW2?...I figured it was some sort of green but I am not totally sure what shade.

It was called 4BO Protective Green. The official color card was close to FS34102 (a USAF Cammo color widely available in most model paint lines). That said, there could be plenty of variation in wartime paints.
