Hi, mates! Here I share with you some pics of my latest diorama, "Ein wenig rechts, bitte". I have just finished it. Hope you like it, and, as usual, criticism are very welcome!
Nice interpretation of the photo. Nice project overall. I would like to see a bit more shadowing on the figures. The base is unique and makes it interesting to look at. The building is a bit new to me in design and I like it.
Hey Pablo. Very interesting theme for your dio ... and coupled with the reference photograph makes for a really cool scene. The building is my personal favourite .. love the design and the colours used. Looking at the overall view ... it does attract the viewer ... everything adds to the scene .. and the layout is perfect. The cut off angle actually "adds" to the layout!! Constructive criticism ... when looking closer, its the scale of the cobblestones that stand out for me. Have you scribed these into spackel? The fan design is excellent, but the cobblestones themselves are too big ... a little extra effort here would have added a lot to the realism, IMO.

Frank: Yeap, I carved the cobblestone pattern into a 8 mm layer of plaster. Maybe they are a little too big, but I took a little "artistic license" here, just to make the pattern more "noticeable".
Thanks once again!!!!

Looks good Pablo - like the scene based on a photograph, nicely done. Lot of work done with the cobblestones, good design and color. Thanks for sharing your pics! Cheers!

Nice scene, an interesting topic for sure! You've captured the scene very well, and the refernce pic is a nice touch. I also love the canvas cover for the opel Blitz - did you make this yourself? However, the one thing that lets the scene down to me are the protective pads on the picture frame. I know from the reference pic they need to be there but the felt (?) you have used looks way over-scale to me and doesn't 'sit' right on the frame or in the scene as a whole. I'd suggest finding something a bit thinner and more flexible. Otherwise a nice and interesting scene. The Pz III also looks great by the way, though i'm not sure about the colour!
Question: what supports the painting? I know paintings of these proportions are quite heavy, and cannot really be handled with one person (or 2 persons, using only one hand each... ). So without propper support the current setup seems a little unstable...

Nice presentation and research. I agree with the above poster about the padding looking out of scale and, IMO, too starkly white. The use of the painting reproduction also contrasts with the rel;atively monochromatic painting on your figures. You can see far more highlights and shading in the painting than on the "real life" figures.

From my point of view the cobblestones look great. They are highly noticeable, I might be inclined to add a little 'dirt' or dust in between them to soften up the gaps. But I don't think they look TOO oversize, and after the work involved I can see why you'd want to highlight them. As others have stated the second thing that jumps out at the viewer is definitely the protective padding on the picture frame edge. But that should be an easy fix if you're so inclined. Nice job overall!

Again, thanks for all your comments and remarks. Will try to work on the diorama a little more. Too bad that right now, I run out of time, since I', going to take it to the National this weekend... After that, let's see what happens.
Again, thanks, mates!
