This is I believe, one of those where you have a choice: decal (albiet thick) or photo-etched metal. Having never used the Archer, I can't say, but on a personal note, and with cost in mind, I think I'd rather have the PE.
Were Archer to reduce the cost, I'd give them a shot....I have two types of the Aber PE treadplate, and I like them...but this offering just does not make me want to "change lanes."
