Great job on the whole thing.
Gosh I need to learn to paint people as my tanks and stuff are getting lonely.

Thanks Mike!!!
The figures are from Presier and are really good with separate
arms and heads and equipment. Easy to paint too.

Hi Sven!
Nice finish, congratulations!
Figures are superb - I thought you would put one into to open hatch, but this configuration looks better, they give us an idea of the vehicle's size.

Well, I wanted to give the vehicle a relaxed feel and I thought it
would be cool to have parts of the crew outside the vehicle taking
a break. And as you say it shows how big this thing really is...
Cheers

He he he !!!
Well, let's see... I have used blod-shot so these guys must be
cross-eyed because I accidentally put the barrel up side down
when I built it (see first post) so they had a hard time aiming

Marvelous work once again. The figures add a great touch to the model really showing just how big the M60 is!
A question if I may; how do you get nice clear photo's? I have tried taking pics of my Sturer Emil a number of times now (blue background with two front gooseneck lamps with 40w pearl globes to even out shadows.
Normally this works OK (just OK), but My images are not focused well or too dark without the flash. If I use the flash, I get to much contrast and unrealistic tones.
I set my camera (Kodak DX6490) on manual with ISO200 etc.
What is the trick here?
cheers and thanks

What is the trick here?
When I take my pictures I use either the ambient light from the
lamp in the ceiling which results in shutterspeeds around 30
seconds or I use one IKEA office lamp placed 1,5 feet above
and roughly 1 foot in front of the model.
The camera I use is a Canon 20 D on a tripod and I shoot in
RAW format which is just like an undeveloped piece of film
which I then process (develope) in the computer. To shoot in
this format gives me A: much more room to correct contrast,
light and colours which is not that easy when shooting in
formats like JPG or TIFF. The program I use for this purpose
is called Capture One and works with most cameras that
supports the RAW file format.
You can check it out here...

Looking really good Sven. If you are attempting to have this as an ODS model, the uniforms should be the Chocolate Chip pattern. A little hard to tell if the uniforms are the woodland pattern.

The tank and crew look really good. Just a couple of thing I want to mention; The ear phones on the tanker helmets should be black, like my Avatar. The other thing is that the inside hatch detail is not correct. You can look on line for pics or look at my article for a pic of how they look.

I don't know how accurate that you wish to make your tank but these fixes will help. I noticed you got the bore evacuator turned around, good work.

Thanks Charles!!!
Didn't have a clue about the pattern for the uniforms so I basically
just winged it, taking memories from my head of what little I have
seen of those uniforms and since they are so small I guess I
thought I could get away with it
For the next ones I will check references carefully and try to do a
more precise and true to the real thing work.
Thanks for pointing it out!!!
Best regards

Thanks for the info Don!
It's not the first time that I do something without first checking my
references (and probably not the last ) so I'm very thankful for
the advice you've given me! I'll see what I can do with atleast the
earphones. Not sure I try to fix the hatches on this one though...
Best regards!!!

Sven-Åke,
Wow! Superb job on painting the figures. . . Yes, the figures do give us a very good prespective on how large the actual M60 tank really is. How about setting a coin next to your model next time to let all of the larger scale modelers see just how small the braille scale models really are!
Looking super thusfar. . .
