I finally decided to jump in and build a Sherman, and got the Dragon M4A3 HVSS 105mm kit. Does anyone have any suggestions for correcting errors or recommended AM parts before I get started?
Thanks,
Michael

Michael,
Get some AFV CLUB HVSS set it's the best out there and use them insted of the DML HVSS.It will be a lot easier in the long run.
AS for the rest of the kit I don't know I don't have own one.
Cheers.
Mike.

Gary,
Point taken, and I can tell when I'm wrong. As I have NONE of the NEW DML HVSS kits not even the M51 (PRE ED) I was only speeking from my use of the older HVSS DML SETS.
Thank You, for pointing me in the right drection.
I'm new to the site and I felt I had something to offer.

The 105 shares a hull and suspension with the Thunderbolt VII kit which I reviewed and did a build feature on here on Armorama.

The thing to watch out for is the suspension which is terrific but is made up of 28 parts for each bogie assembly. I just cracked open the M4A3 105 yesterday and the turret looks great.

I would recommend getting a new Mantlet and gun mount as the new DML one is way too narrow. Check the review/comparison on PMMS for details. FOrmations offers a whole turret and may offer the correction parts. The rest of the kit is fine.
I cannot understand DML getting it so wrong considering their computer aided design etc. We aren't talking about a scale inch or so either. This is a serious dimensional error. Considering the turret in the old M4A3 105 POA was near perfect it just doesn't make sense. Beware some of the Kit markings as the IWO example is actually an M4 HVSS not an A3.
