Kookie - lend me your comb, sorry old Route 66 tv reference.

Brilliant weathering, and the groundwork is also well done - simple but effective, very pleasing eye woodie !!!

Well done. Nicely painted, nice scene.

One thing that jumps out at me, though, is that not one periscope is open. If this tank is supposed to be in motion--and from the scene that looks to be the case--then your driver is "driving blind". Not a good state of affairs.

Other than that, very well done rendition of this well-known tank.

Indeed Robert, you are correct. I mounted the scopes closed on the tank before i know what the setting would be.
being my second diorama ever, I didn't plan it ahead, a mistake I won't make twice!

thanks for the kind words.

I've made that mistake, too....that's how I knew to look for it! Indeed, on my 1/48th sherman I posted a few days ago, I didn't even bother since I was doing it strictly as an out of the box build (plus, I have no aftermarket 1/48th stuff at all). All I added was an antenna.

Speaking of which, your tank could use its antennae as well.

Really, though, it's very well painted/weathered, and you should be proud of your efforts.

Looks pretty good. Your consruction, figure painting, groundwork, and weathering look good. A couple pointers on diorama construction though. First, your vehicles and things like the hedgerow should not be parallel to the dio base. It looks more natural if the lines are a little askew from parallel. Also, it looks as if your base is too small. It is very crowded and the Firefly is hanging off the right edge of the base. I prefer a little bigger base that allows the whole vehicle to fit on it with a little room around all side. Good job on it. Keep building and you can only get better.
