Hi All,
It's been a while since I posted anything new so here goes...a big white box on tracks!
Academy supplied the base kit, AFV Club, the"Diehl" track, Eduard PE ( Thanks Jim) a bunch of stuff from Maple Leaf and some scratchbuilding. Canadian flags are from Archer. UN graphics/ serial numbers are sprayed on.
I will most likely add some small Canadian flags to the whip antennas
Thanks go out to Jason, Jim, Anthony and to all the other lads who have helped out, but can't remember their names at this time.
As always comments and critiques are most welcome.
regards
Pete

Wow Awsome little bucket! The weathering and finish is really spot on.
I thought that the internal fuel tanks were removed on the A2's?
cheers

Pete....
Saw this over on the MCV forum too, VERY nice indeed and I'll buy the long range idea, works for me. What did you use for the UNPF registration plate?
Well done, another stunner!

Hi Bob,
I saw your Cougar and Mk11 over at the AAFVMS site, the Cougar turned out really nice, as for the Centurion, you're to blame for me spending more money and adding a Cent to my collection, thats my story anyways....
I designed the plates in Adobe illustrator and printed them out on glossy photo paper at a really high rez, then misted on some clear flat, too heavy and the ink will run!
Re that AAFVMS show who built that three colour Centurion, looked really nice in the photos....also good news about the Hush Puppy tracks....now to start finding some reference for the Centurion, where did you get yours?
Thanks again
Pete

Hey Pete, the 3-colour Cent is Jason B's. Awesome job on the 113! Weathering is well done, captures the look quite nicely.
GFarman-yes, Canada did use the Fitter, being replaced now I believe by an MTVL version.

Pete
Thanks for your kind words. Actually, my Centurion Mk11LR on the AAFVMS site was the 3 - colour camo (Nato black and 2 greens), Jason B's was the 4 - colour Centurion (Tan, Green, Red-Brown and Light Grey). Almost all of my resources and assistance came from Jason, he was a great help and it was his 4 - colour Centurion that inspired me to build mine. His tank is a little earlier in time frame while mine shows a 1970's era one. My own private joke is that it's the same tank, with Jason's in an earlier paint scheme, and mine repainted a few years later..... hahaha (nod to Jason).
cheers
Bob

Oops, I mixed them up - for some reason I though Jason's was 3 tone, but of course, it's 4! Nice Canadian stuff all around at the AAFVM show.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.
The great thing about the M113 is it is such a workhorse, you almost can't overdo it with weathering!
Another great part is that they come in so many different configurations, there is always one that catches your attention, and you just have to add it to the collection!
I think the next one for me will be Dozer and maybe a ARV...probably both!
Thanks again,
Pete
