This is kind of a what if/ sci-fi truck, that I decided to post in armor, because that's what it is. It is based off of the Gundam BANDAI Type 79 hovertruck from the 08th MS team series. the kit contained no interior, so I scratch-built one. I also scrtchbuilt the hinges for the gull-wingesque doors. I really like how this one turned-out. I used my DREMEL, and Mr. Surfacer to acheive the cast metal texture, and used a variety of painting tachniques (the painting process took longer than the construction. In some of the pics, it is carrying a jeep based on TAMIYA's mutt (these pics were taken befor I did alot of the weathering). the interior pics I have are not of how it looks now (i didn't apply a wash yet). I'll try to put some good interior shots up soon.
Enjoy!

I'v always wondered what was meant by the term "what if's" in armour modelling and this has answered my question.
I think it's excellent........gonna have to try my hand at a what if now

Very nice--I really like the weathering. Where did you buy the kit, and how much does it go for?

Nice build. Now I have an idea of what to do with a lot of the stuff I have in my spares box. Again, nice build. "Q"

yeah, most of the interior was from the old spares box.
and the truck runs on fans, which are the large circular "feet" it sits on.

Looks like a fun build of a mobile surveyor's platform for a future municipal utilities engineer unit.
