I've just finished this Bronco 1/35 Staghound, a somewhat frustrating build. Please feel free to criticise.

Why was the build frustrating?

Hi Steve, it was frustrating as the instructions were all over the place, the top of the hull was bent out of shape but more than anything it was the enormous number of tiny parts. I spent ages glueing bits together and when fitted to the hull they are not really visible or so minor they are not noticeable. Bronco definately over complicated the thing.

Excellent build Martin, very nice airbrush work too, the shading scales it up nicely
I like the subtle weathering too, including geting the fronts of the fuel drums dirty.

Well done Martin. Turned out looking great. I agree with you about the build as i'am half way into mine. lots of tiny bits to fly off into cyber space if your not careful.
My hull plates are bent too... must be a common
problem with the kit

The kit is very nice.
Talking about the enormous number of tiny parts, so minor that they become not noticeable.
I wonder what Dragon or Bronco think about modellers.
That they like to spent one month just gluing a kit?
Or if they advertise a 1000 parts kit, it is an attractive kit?

I do wonder what the thinking was behind the design of this kit. Not only is the assembly over complicated by these small parts but the instructions are poorly laid out, sub assemblies are shown to be attached but then I had to search on another page to find the construction of these sub assemblies. The same with the etched parts, in some cases they are shown to be used when the plastic part they are supposed to replace has already been glued on!
However I do think the kit assembles into a decent looking vehicle.

Hi Martin. It looks excellent. The amount of small parts may have been frustrating, but the finished model makes it all worthwhile. The painted details and weathering are spot-on!
