Here is the start of my blog for this campaign. I will be building the Heller PzKpfw 35-H.

Hopefully I will be able to post some in-progress photos soon.

Looks good, Randy. I have build this kit myself and it is quite okay. The only really big problem is the two piece upper hul. There should be no seem line between the two parts and it is rather difficult sand it down, so beware of this.

Looking forward to see more.

Thanks Jesper.

I will see what I can do with that seam line. Thanks for the heads up.

Looks prettymuch like the way
Trumpeter has the H38/39 made!
the 2 piece hull, mmm, I glued a piece of plastic on the innerside, after that I filled the seem, little by little, with car putty, and after some sanding, and aplication of mr Surfacer, It looks ok (to me )

Looking forward to your build, as I been wanting to build one , but the price of 20+ euro's , scared me off for now, I know the turret isn't that 'right', and the tracks are called,...well let's say they're not on most wish lists

Well good luck

Thanks for the advice. I haven't even had a chance to start on it yet. Hopefully soon. I had a family emergency come up and that took up some of my time. I had to go to Montana for awhile.

I have a commitment to WarWheels to take care of first and then I hope to get started on this project and get it finished up soon.

Thanks again,

I have finally been able to get to work on my Heller PzKpfw 35-H. I hope to have some pictures to post in the next couple of days.

I was beginning to wonder if I would get it done in time or not. However it looks like there shouldn't be any problems now.

Here is a photo after the basic construction was completed.

There were some fit problems in regards to gaps when joining the upper hull to the lower hull. If you look closely you can see some green putty towards the front. There was also the seam that Jesper mentioned. There were some gaps between the two main pieces of the upper hull when I went to join them together. A little sanding and some filling with green putty took care of that. There are still a few smaller gaps to fill, but nothing too major.

The instruction sheet wasn't the clearest at times. So if you plan on building this kit be sure to try some dry fitting first.

Other than the gaps and the instruction sheet there really weren't any major problems.

I should have the basic painting and decals finished up soon. I will post a photo of that as well.

Thanks Mark (Gunny) and Dave (Grumpyoldman)for the help with posting the photo.

Here is my Heller PzKpfw 35-H after the final construction and basic painting.

Now I just need to add the white-wash and do some final detail painting and it will be finished. I am hoping to get to the white-wash today. So if all goes well I should be finished by the end of the campaign.

Thanks,

Here is my finished white-washed PzKpfw 35-H. I just barely finished it in time for the end of the White-Washed campaign.

I wanted to show a vehicle that had a worn white-wash look to it. I also added a small amount of mud to the running gear. I didn't want to over do the mud. I wanted it to look as if it had been operating on an established road. I didn't do much else as far as weathering goes other than some light rust in a few areas.

The white-wash I used is just plain chalk that I made into a powder and mixed with water.

Thanks for looking.
