I just got the book Applied Modeling Encyclopedia from Squadron Signal Publications and I have to admit it is very informative.

Hi Ryan,

Why not write a review about the book? I'm sure folks would like a more in-depth looks at the book. I know I sure would - I hadn't heard of it prior to your post now...

I echo Rudi - a review would be great. One thing I would like to see if more book reviews.

(I'm working on one myself).

There are three of them that I know of, Armor, Aircraft and Diorama's/Scenery. Which one did you pick up? I got all three and they are full of great pics. Some of the translations are a little odd, but the general meaning is conveyed pretty well. "Q"

I got the dioramas/scenery book. I'm pretty decent with painting figures and armor but my diorama skills are kind of lacking so I am hoping to use the book to improve them. From what I have read it is very well written.

In deed they are good books. We received one of the first copies of the book when it came out to review for Aerospace Modeler Magazine. Since it was originally written in Spanish and translated there was some odd translations we found, but the pictures and descriptions made it clear to understand what was being described. The one on aircraft is outstanding (IMHO) as there are some really nice aircraft builds in it. Glad you are enjoying the book. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. "Q"

I just got a Dragon T-34/85 and the Academy German "Destroyer" Infantry set. Now all I need is the time.
