Hi all,
Here are some pics of my 1/72 PzH2000. I'm building this one for a campaign we have at the Benelux site called 'Virus 72'. In this campaign we encourage modellers to try a small scale AFV model instead of the regular 1/35 ones.
I'll paint it as a Dutch PzH2000 now in use in Afghanistan as part of ISAF. The Dutch have PzH2000s in Camp Holland, Tarin Kowt, which are used (a lot) to support both Dutch and other ISAF forces in the area such as the Australians.
Movie of Dutch PzH2000 in action in Afghanistan:

Hope you like it
Martin
Btw: even in 1/72 the PzH really has a huge gun! It's as long as the 75mm gun of my 1/35 Pzkfw IV ausf.H I'm building for the White Washed campaign :-)

Looking good Martin. Can't wait to see the finished product. What do you think of the kit? I'm currently building the beast in 1/35 and finding it a fun build.
And oh yeah, that gun barrel is massive, no matter the scale!

Hi mate,
I like the kit. Overall fit is pretty good, details for this scale are nice and not too much cleaning of parts is required. For me this is a kit that shows the (possible) high quality of 1/72 models!
Do you have some pics of your 1/35 model? Feel free to post 'em here

I saw this SPG on Future Weapons not so long ago. What a lethal piece of kit.
Might need to buy this model
Your build looks excellent so far. How does the kit build up?
cheers
Mike

Well it's a pretty good kit. Not to much fit problems, details are nice and it just looks cool

Martin, what type of tracks came with the kit? Rubber band or indy? The 1/35 kit comes with rubber band tracks and in the reviews I've read they are the main problem area. It seems that they tend to break apart after a few months.
Do you have any finished pics of yours yet?

Hi,
The kit comes with indy/short lengts of tracks. Works very well.
Strange that the 1/35 has rubber tracks. I thought Revell always used indy tracks....

Martin,
Looks very good so far and a very intresting subject. Your antennas look to scale. What did you use? Wire or streched sprue? Waiting to see more as you progress along. And thanks for the link. Enjoyed watching this monster in action!!!
