Hi guys. This is my T72 BM. Tamiya kit with Miniarm conversion and as I saw a few pics (really few, sob) of BMs from Chechnya conflict with antiRPG bar armour, I decided to make mine from plasticard. I scratched the windshield too and added other items (rivets, cables).
Please I'd like to read your comments.
Thanks in advance to everyone.

Best regards.

Guido

WOW! Just got to love the details you put into this baby. I'm in no way an expert in Russian armor, but I'm really looking forward to see this one finished!

Forgot: the hull isn't ready. As soon as possible.
Thank you.

Wow, your commander shield beats mine to pieces. Very nice work throughout. Do you work with a photograph of some concrete tank or just collective image? There are few picks of BMs during storm of Komsomolskoe, but all of them show bar armor protecting sides and rear of the hull as there are few places on turret where RPG hit( given it's older PG-7R or V) can be effective. Also, use Dimitry's link if you need to get sense of spacing and size of the bars. They should standardized ( Science and Research Institute of Steel developed it toward and of Afghan war).
Cheers

Hey

Nice build. I did not know T-72 had anti RPG armor grills

Thanks to all of you. My big trouble was having pics. I've had just a little, so for some features I had to "imagine". Thank you Dmitry, I already had those pics.
btw, these photos help me a lot:

Hy Guido!

Great work on a great subject! I really admire the way your gill-armor turned out!

Very well done, I really look forward to see it finished.
