Thanks for the input guys, i'll be giving it another go soon so will see how that pans out. Gino I had a look at the file and it seems the act of changing it from a publisher to a jpeg file has made it go blurry. Hopefully I'll be able to sort this out next time round.

Max--you may want to save it as a .gif file instead of a jpeg. Gif files are better suited to line art, while jpegs are better for photographs--since a cammo pattern is basically really intricate line art, the gif should come out much better. In addition, the jpeg compression algorithm is lossy and "fuzzy"--it discards information in order to make the file smaller and samples surrounding pixels to create an average color value, leading to blurred edges.
