Hey, everybody. I just heard from a little birdy that Echelon will be making a set with generic battalion ID numbers - those large numbers on the sides of US OIF vehicles.

Looks like there will be other generic US markings in the future too.

Oooh, that sounds like something I'd be interested in. I'd also love to see a generic sheet of bumper codes specifically for OIF. I've bought decal paper and installed fonts to make my own, but I'd willingly part with more cash to have a ready-made set handy for other builds.

Bob,
Are you the guy behind this project??? Sounds interesting as I likewise have bought the thick decal paper and made some initial decals but to get a set of mix & match decals in the correct sizes would be a time saver...

John, not really. Lawrence is merely taking the info I and others have provided over the years and coming up with a tweak on things. I don't thnk he will mind me saying that I have been working on providing some Stryker info (who would of thought??) so there could be some better choices there - for me especially the thick decal AFV provides, and there are more interesting options with even some 'artwork' on Strykers as shown on the new AFV Club kit.

Bob,
Sounds like a cool idea. I know that when Lawrence did the USMC OIF decals he did sets of generic numbers so that you could model any one of the tanks in the Marine Corps Inventory.
