Hi Folks,
Just picked up the new Tamiya T-55 and is it really nice. Been doing some research on the external gas lines on this thing and have found some pictures of how others have modeled these for the side tanks, but what about those tanks in the rear? Where do the line(s) on these go? Right into the back end of the tank or do they take a odd-ball route like those on the side tanks?
Also I noticed that their is a fourth, smaller tank on the right side of the vehicle, right behind the first gas tank. Is this also for fuel, or some kind of lubricating oil for the motor, etc.? I assume a line for this goes into the vehicle in about the same place as the main line for the gas from those external tanks.
And am I correct in assuming that these gas lines running from those side tanks all go into some kind of shut-off box/switch that would be located under the turret's side where all these lines seem to head for?
Tamiya has done a really outstanding job on the moldings on this model, but I guess they have to leave a thing or two off for the modelers to do for themselves. Ha!
Thanks in advance and take care, sgirty. :-)

There are no lines on the rear tanks. Those are OK as is.
If you go back in this forum a few pages you will see a post "My T55 has arrived!"
There are about 8 pages of good info and some great in-progress photos of Gunnies' T55 where he details the fuel lines. This will be a great help to you. (There are a few photos of mine too, but asal, no fuel lines on that one!)
Feel free to add to that thread as there are a lot of people with T55 questions.
