i am building a batch 1 or 2 M-51 (haven't decided yet) using the DML Premium Edition kit as a starting point. I also have the Academy kit as well as a host of upgrades.(so much for building out of the box!). On the rear hull is a folding storage rack. The DML kit has a one piece shelf hinged at the bottom while the Academy rack is the 2-piece design hinged at the top. Tom Gannon's book mentions the 2-piece design as the one used on the M-50 but no mention is made about the M-51. It would appear that the two-piece unit would interfere with the travel lock base. Can some body help me out? Thanks.
