This is Dragon's D Day Sherman. I used the AFV club tracks. The stowage is mostly Verlinden. I had the most fun painting the crate of apples. Weathering is Mig style with lots of dust.

I like the paintjob, the camo, the weathering. Also, this is a tank not to many people model (I mean w/these markings).

There are a couple things any of the Shermaholics would notice that are errors:

1. Those oval plates next to the taillights should have been removed (an error of the kit, they were only present on the M4A2).
2. Your taillights are the wrong color (only the top left one should be red, the others black).
3. A pretty big seam between the trans. housing and the bolted strip...that gap needs filling b/c in reality that bolted strip was not a separate part, but part of the transmission housing.
4. The spare tracks don't match the ones on the tank.

I like the stowage, but a couple of straps or ropes holding it all down would be a good idea.

Other than these issues, which are pretty minor, I think it's a very good work.

Wild Bill-- the camo pattern is very well-done. I agree that your spare track blocks are incorrectly painted. Easy to fix and certainly does not detract from a very nicely done model.
I like it!

Thank you for the feedback, guys. The seam isn't as bad as it looks; some of that is photo shadow, but next time it'll get filled in. Question: what color should the spare tracks be? BTW, I know they're wrong pattern, but the AFV club tracks are band tracks, and I didn't have any spares to match, so that's why they're wrong.

Gday Wildbill. The spares you have are all-rubber T-48 tracks so therefore should be represented as bluish black. The tracks mounted appear to be T-49 steel cleated tracks (which proved to be more superior in muddy conditions than the T-48) You have done a good job with the rest of the tank, so why not go the individual track links in the kit? Better still, can you get your hands on six T-49 tracklinks to fill the holders? Ask around. I'm sure someone may have some spares... Oh, and you mentioned 'D- Day Sherman', but the M4A3(76) wasn't used until around October(ish) 1944.
Cheers
Brad

I think this is DML6255, that kit is great considering the 9 figures contained in the kit.
I think the same form of track is contained in DML 6188 M4A2 Red Army, frankly, that is great and can generate feeling of weight!

Holy cow, man! Those apples look good enough to eat.
I always find myself looking at the .50 first. Yours looks great. Is there PE on it?

No photoetched on the MG; in fact only a couple of PE parts on the whole thing. Dragon's gun was a very nice piece. Thank you for the compliments.

Like the look of the weathering as for spare trak links i normaly paint in with the rest of tank with a little bit of wear and tear added. Just can,t get enough of those Shermans think their a fantastic modelling subject.Keep up the great work and remember the next is always that bit better.
