Just curious,when and if I should earn a campaign ribbon in the future,where do they appear ? In my profile or next to my name and insigna when I make a posting ? also when are they awarded,at the end of the campaign ?

Ribbons appear on your profile page, and are awarded at the end of the campaign - provided you successfully complete an entry.
