hi, i ame converting a ww2 german figure that only wears a belt, i want to add the fieldgear on that belt. is that "right", a german soldier without Y-straps? i have seen american soldiers without y-straps so i thought i could build a german figure without y-straps...

let me know what you think of it.
thanks in advance

Well ... if you're building a soldier in the winter time it should not be a problem. The bulky clothes should provide enough support for the kit items he is wearing. In the summer time though. It would be a rare sight though it is possible for some specialized services to wear non standard kit configuration.

Would need more info to be more specific.

Johan i have checked my numerous images of German troops during ww2 and plenty of the pictures show the troops wearing just belt order without y-straps both in winter and summer.I think if you are depicting soldiers on a march or an advance into russia you should add the y-straps as these were needed for the addition of packs and ammo boxs etc, other than that it is ok to leave them off.
