Hey Miloslav,
Sorry I can't help, I'm also looking for photos of the CV w/ slat armor. I did ask around if the CV carried the additional armor and was told yes. The biggest change is that part no.# N1 has that opening and using the Eduard PE you will have to open it or make a whole new panel. Also the top mounting brackets ( two in the center, right and left sides) may interfere with the antenna mounts. Easy fix by moving them just towards the rear of the antenna mounts.

I always wanted to ask. whats the idea behind the sand bags on the ground bordering the vehicle? I see that in quite a lot of pics. what is the purpose?

Hey Ti, (referring to the first picture) if today's military is doing the same as we did during the first Gulf War (or in Bosnia), the sandbags on the ground are "border" lines....they were used to line walk-ways and areas for vehicles to drive/park. Basically, when in a semi-permanent/permanent "camp," we used them (and larger rocks) in an attempt to keep vehicles driving where they should and people walking where they should. It kept the vehicles from driving all over the camp....kept them to the "road." It was both functional (potentially would reduce vehicle/people mishaps) and visual (made your camp look "organized"). Yea, initially the Troop's probably though it was a waste of time, but after a while it became clear there was "sense" to it (especially at dusk or dawn ).

HTH,

Mike

Geoff
Each panel of B-glass can be lowered, thats interesting. I can't wait to get a look from inside the turret to see how it's configured. Thanks very much for the photo, this vehicle just keeps getting more complex doesn't it?
Regards
Bill

"Blast Panels" is what I am told. These are different than "Blast Plates" which are the stand-off armor used underneath the slat.

I would not be surprised to hear different terms for the name-tape armor on the roof, but my sources use "Blast Panel."
