yesterday was no good day when I discovered that the AFV-Club rubber tracks jut out over the fenders between 1,5 - 2mm on my Italeri M60A1.
The AFV Club rubber tracks, their individual tracks and even the old Tamiya tracks are correct in width-20mm. also the kit tracks itself are OK.
So my assumption is that the fenders might not be wide enough. when I recalculated the measurements from Hunnicuts 1/48 drawings to 1:1 and then to 1/35 the outcome is 23mm width. the kits fenders show only 21mm.
could anybody supply me please with exact measurements of the fender width?
the trick for calculation seems to be if only the flat side is considered or also the curved angle part which shows towards the hull of the tank.
thanks--an almost desperate tankbuster frustrated on modern armour kits
