Hello friends,
Today I have finished moreless my base, by adding trees, herbs, flowers, and other flora.
I hope I can enjoy you with these photo's :
The base is almost done now. I will start assembling my Preiser figures tomorrow : walking German infantry, German infantry at rest. I'm still looking for some panzer boys too.
If you have questions, please ask, if you can help me improve my work, just tell me. And I hope you like my work so far. G.

A typical presentation of the pleasant Normandy countryside. Well done. I love the growth on-top of the roof. By the way, what type of grass did you use?

Hello Chas, I show you the grasses :
and I mix it with this spongy stuff :
to obtain this :
It adds in my opinion more variation, and simulates small herbs between the grass.
Of course I also add longer grass plants, random.
I hope I gave you an understandable explanation ? G.

Monsieur Vangi
This has come out superb!
You have struck a great balance with the scene, and the whole scene has a warmth about it. Oh, and then there's the Jagdpanther
Funny, I was doing the same mix of groundwork as you just the other day... It makes a good mix, huh!
Not doing any German vehicles, should the tow cable rear up like that on the rear deck?
Love the white board

Hi Brad, what a coincidence, at the same time we grabbed the same idea out of the cosmos, hehehe.
About the tow cable : I still have to glue it down, I won't forget it. White board ? Greetz G.

How did you do the thatch? It looks great...the whole thing.
What was your ratio from static grass to spongy stuff?

SB : I have used grasses to make the thatch roof.
Pictures :
The base I worked on :
The grasses glued on using wood glue thinned down with water :
Before painting :
After painting with oils (airbrushed of course) :
You know the grasses to sprinkle in thinned wood glue, these are the ones you need for this result. I tried it and it worked out well, considered the positive reactions.
Succes friend.

Great job, guy. A lovely scene - one almost misses to see the Jagdpanther

Hi Jesper,
That is typical for Jagdpanther tanks, when you see one, it's too late
Thank you for the reply. G.

I am making a thatch roof in my latest diorama. I am using corn bristles. I should have used what you used for sure.
