Is that it?
Petros, you once again have done an excellent job of weathering. That 88 looks excellent. You should think about entering it into the winter whitewash campaign, I know a few guys would be interested in hearing how you acheived the effect.
Can't wait to see the dio for this one, if the groundwork is as good as your last it will be something special. Going for snow this time?

Very realistic, the gun looks great.
Not sure about the tires or the rolls of tubing on top of each wheel. Is it going to be a very snowy scene. With so much snow up and on the tires there needs to be quite a lot of snow or it will need to be right at 'setup' time. I don't know if they would have painted the rolls?

First i painted with dark gray,a friend he said tha i can use also the german gray, after i painted with flat white but i made it thiner. After with burnt umber mixed with little bit sienna oil i made the rust and with very, very thin dark green i made the dirt.I have also a weathering stick (white colour) from tamiya which i made some parts.
I dont know yet if i will make it with much snow, but it will be snow on it

It's looking good, very cold and snowy. I like the overall shape and layout. Will you have an ammo area in the left corner near the brown spot? There is a lot of space on this one don't let any area go un 'touched'

Yo Petros,
Great job so far...good paintjob on the gun and very realistic groundwork the snow makes it compleet. One thing...put some more snow around the gun's four feet...than it looks more that the gun has more weight. Now its seem a little bit "flying".
Nice work...love the see the figies!

Excellent base Petros, it will complement your 88 perfectly!
The snow is very convincing (I can tell as theres about a foot outside right now!)
Keep up the good work,
James

Hey Petros, nice work with the whitewash and the snow. What did you use for the snow?
Hi Stuart!
For the snow i use a material which a friend gave me, it calls Superfinish-Microballons.He buy it from Germany one time i think. And he cannot find it anymore.
Somebody knows something about this material and where we can found more?Because its perfect for snow.

That is really sharp. I've had a soft spot for the 88 since I was about 11. I saw an Africa dio with an 88 in Kasserine Pass in a Scale Modeler magazine from 1969. I'v just never had the guts to do an 88.
