Hi guys,

my last model I covered with a nice dust coat. After that I applied the matt coat.
The problem was, that after the application the whole dust was blown away.
Was the air pressure to high or did I made a mistake in the step follow?

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks,Nils

If you mean dust applied as pastels or pigments, it was probably high pressure. I put pastels on last of all and seal them in with hairspray. It's very low pressure, it doesn't darken the colours as much as varnish does, and it smells nicer. Artist's fixative is an alternative but hairspray is usually cheaper. I've used it for years on artwork.

Thanks Sean,

I understand. I will try the hairspray method and also the try to use a lower pressure.
