This model was sitting uncompleted on my shelf for a couple of years. It was originally going to be a Bedford QL Workshop truck. I had already made a truck body and all the cabinets for it..but like others I got bored, waylaid rtc and forgot about it. When Italeri brought out the new 40mm Bofors gun I thought,Hey that needs a towing vehicle. So off came the old body and now starts the rebuilding.
The cab is from Accurate Armour with some details added from the Eduard etch set. The wheels were turned and I've added all the brake lines, Axle hangers, new fuel tank, and a scratch built spare wheel carrier.
More recently i've added a scratch built Winch system that was found on the gun tractor. most is scratch with the main drum coming from an old Peerless Canadian Gun Tractor kit. I've still got some bolts to add to the winch system and some other itty bitty details but the pictures give you the idea.

Progress looking good so far. Are you going to build the Bofors at the same time so you can paint and weather them together?
