My latest Dio "tommies on patrol" and last for a few years whilst we are expecting our first child in 2 weeks.

The figures are from tamiya and the end one is from dragon that i painted about 3 years ago and the tank is a from tamiya. The ground work in sand and small stones and the grass is the lining from a hanging basket. The fence is from basa wood that i got the idea from looking at one of the arcities from the this website.

Hi Gary,

Congrats and a nice simple scene to set the kit in. You could add some rifle slings to the weapons and maybe be a little light dust to the top of the tank.

The plant in the background is very effective lol, lol.

The ground work looks like it might need a little more grit here and there it looks very smooth in places in the pics and a slight variation of vegeitation would also add interest. Depends on what your aim was at the start though.

Nice pile of stowage on the back of the kit and I like you air recognition marking.

Thanks for sharing and not too many sleepless nights I hope.

Cheers

Gary,
I am a dad too, I have three daughters (17, 12, 7 years old). I can assure you this : keep on modeling ! You will need it to relax, there's ying and yang you know !
Congratulations with the new born child.

About the diorama now : good scene, simple, but effective, I like the wooden fence. Good choice this tank. One of my favourites. The figures are very well painted and add a lot of action.

And now you tell us not to stop for a while man !!! G.

Nice scene, simple not overloaded, well done, two minor points first: weapons slings just add that little bit extra to the figures very simple to mkae from paper or tin foil or if you want to spend the money photo etched ones, second: the last figure, not so sure about him myself doesnt seem to me, to be that in keeping with the more relaxed posture of the rest of the figures. But apart from those good job and good luck with the baby.

Nice one. I like the variety of figures.

Good luck with the new family-member. I have 2 children and I have discovered that I spend more effective time with modelling than before I became a dad - probably because ones time is tight.

Cheers
