I'm building the DML M1A2 using the 'Armor ghetto' markings in memory of the two crewmen who were killed, obviously i want to build it as accurate to their vehicle as possible, are there any pics out there of this particular tank? Ive had a good look around the web and not been able to find anything.

Also I have a couple of questions regarding optional parts if anyone is able to answer- What type of air intakes did armor ghetto have? (parts T5 of T6 in the kit), what type of front fenders did it have? (parts X2 or T9) and finally was it fitted with a UAAPU or Hawker battery?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rob,

There's one image of it at prime portal:

http://data.primeportal.net/m1_iraqp/P5084563xxx.jpg (remove xxx).

Be warned that the skirt numbers are slightly off on the kit - digit "1" is a clear indication. This goes for "absolute death" also. Secondly, the left side of the barrel does feature the slogan too, I wonder why on the instructions, it's only marked on the right side.

Cheers,

Lawrence

Armored Ghetto was an M1A2 SEP with the Under Armor APU. Hawker batteries are a relatively new development (2006-2007) as the UAAPU did not fully live up to expectations…

Thanks guys, really appreciate the help!

So it was also fitted with a mine plow? Would there be any time when it didnt have a mine plow attached?

Also are there still no ideas on what type of front fenders it had? Which were more common-the plain ones of the ones with the X pattern on them?
