Hello Gents,

Here are some pics of two soviet naval guys, the "black death" from the black sea, from the Miniart set. This is the best figure kit I had the opportunity to build and paint in my life. So much life and character for this scale !
Thanks for the guys who help me to find some references on those beautifull uniforms.
Best and please comment in order for me to improve.

They will go in a diorama on Stalingrad, a kind of dramatic setting..
I posted many pictures with various shade, lights etc.. so you can see the different tones applied on the figures, specially the shoulder straps of the helmeted guy..

Best,
Julien

Hello Julien,

I've been anxious to see the first build reports start to pop up of this new set from MiniArt since it's early release, and I must say, mate, that you are doing a great job at the recreation of these characters...looking forward to following along with the dio!

Cheers,
~Gunny

Hi Julien,
figures are looking good mate.Ive just received mine in the post hope they turn out as well as yours. As you say it is a very impressive set and gives a chance to display a little bit of colour as opposed to field gray, khaki and black etc.

Salut tout le monde,

Hey Jerry, ça va ca fait un bail ! j'espère que tu vas bien ! Thanks for your words.
Gunny, I was also impatient, as nobody started to show up their works, I jump !
Phil : I couldn't agree more on the monotony of the field gray. This set is gives you the opportunity to practice your blue skills !

Best,

Julien

Julien,
Nice work on the figures and you are right about the poses, very animated and natural. MiniArt is to be commended on some really nice composition for their figure sets in terms of poses and interaction, alot of narrative potential.
