Hi fellow modellers,i`m a big fan of modern armour and want do something from Russia, the trouble is i can`t do individual track links (everytime i try i just make a mess of them)so if anyone can recommend something with "rubber band" style tracks i`d be really chuffed.

I believe the SKIF MTLB series have band tracks - that would give you options such as the Skif SA-13 Gopher too (MTLB based). Or, you could do something like a BTR-70 or SA-9 Gaskin (the latter Skif makes) since they have wheels!
Another possibility is to replace the kit indie links with aftermarket workable tracks if they are available (a pricier option though) or look for kits featuring link & length tracks, which are a good compromise betwwen band and indie links.
HTH!

Most of the plastic kits come with flexible one-piece track. I just wish they gave indi with every one of them. (The Fruil tracks are easy to tackle, by the way, if you don't mind the cost.)

How about the Tamiya T-55 or T-72. Both have adequate one piece tracks, athough you'll have to work in some sag into the T-55 ones (one good reason to use indy track like Friuls, MK, or resin click-links).

HIghly recommend the Tamiya T-55. ONe piece tracks with enough give to get some sag out of them. No major accuracy problems unlike their T-62 or T-72 kits.

Unfortunately, there is currently no out-of-the-box kit of a T-90 in plastic. Zvezda has announced one though. There are resin sets from various companies to convert a T-72 into a T-90. That is actually what happens in reality as well. The T-90 is a much upgraded T-72 and most are rebuilt, older T-72 hulls.
Good luck.
Good luck.

If you look, most of us with large number of posts have been on the site for 5 + years. The first few years were easy to get posts on as there wre only a few thousand members or so. You could pretty much respond to all the posts made Now it is a megasite and you kind of stick to a few areas. I only pop onto and read areas that I have a feeling toward. Consequently I am able to knock out at least a dozen or so kits a year. I also work on 2 at a time so when one has glue or paint setting up, I can work on another

Thanks, I'm highly flattered.
Ditto to what Steve said. I have been on the site since almost the begining, early '02. I only build one kit at a time though, but still get about 10-12 done a year, sometimes more.
