I dug this one out of my stash...the one with the interior. Don't know much about Bradleys as they have evolved a lot in 20 years. So, I really am not looking at doing much with the kit. PLan a totally OOB build if I can pull it off. This is the plain Jane M2 from what I understand. Was this used in the first Gulf War? Anything major I need to do or can it pass as a vehicle that participated. Maybe might go as one that was in that Bosnia mess if I need to. INterior doesn't depict a radio. Where would I put one of those as I have a few left over from other kits and some resin ones as well.

Yes, the M2 and M3 participated in the first Gulf War, along with the M2A1/M3A1 and M2A2/M3A2. The Squadron "Bradley in Action" book had some good pictures, and Verlinden published a Gulf War Album that had good shots, as well.
The kit will benefit from some photoetch and indie link tracks, but it wasn't at all a bad kit. The drive sprockets should have lightening holes in them (spokes, in other words), whereas the kit has solid disks. If you're up to it, it should have a non skid surface where the crew walked. One of the Verlinden model building books included a pattern for applying it.

Steve,
radio's are located inside the turret on the shelf behind the gunner and TC.

if you want a good walk around, go to Prime Portal. I sent in a bunch of pictures of the Bradley I have out in the motor pool. It is a M2A0+ will will do nicely for what you want. I think i have some good interior turret shots as well.

If I'm not mistaken, I think they only had A2 over in Bosnia at the beginning.

The kit is pretty good and will build into a late '80s to early '90s M2A0 Bradley. A few of the plain M2A0s and M2A1s were used in ODS, however, most units switched to M2A2s before the ground war began. No plain M2A0s were used in Bosnia though.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the info guys. I was hoping for a desert storm participation. Kit is (typical Tamiya) a nice straight forward build. I am not a modern armor fanatic, just like to do them OOB and add to the collection
