I've had this somewhat started and in a box for a couple of years.

Attempting to model this Turkish M113 anti-aircraft vehicle. Not sure of the true designation but fairly certain that it is a A2T2 upgrade so at the least it's got the standard A2 upgrades and some Turkish upgrades.

Starting with a Tamiya M113 hull, spare Academy top deck, Tamiya external tanks, quad 50 turret from a Tamiya M16 kit, MR Modellbau smoke launchers and a resin copy of a AIFV/YPR trim vane. Plus some better quality Academy 50 cals and some AFV Club Diehl track.

The top deck has been modified for the placement of the quad 50 base.

I'll have better pictures in the future after I get an AC adaptor for my Olympus FE-110 that sucks down batteries like they were free.

Definitely not something you see every day Paul, looking forward to more pics as you solve your power/battery issue.

Cool Beans Paul!

I actually got to see the Turks fire their quad 50's back in 79, without the M-113 of course.
cant wait to see the final project completed. Mrosko

With this in the public eye, I'll have to make some progress faster than my usual glacial pace.

Charles, that is a nice looking Atilgan.

You might want to rethink that. In the pic, and others I've seen, the cargo hatch is open and I don't see any curved cutout in it.. The mount sits where the old TC's hatch was, not as far back as you have it.

What are you talking about? You've got a bad habit of replying to people across different threads.

Edit: Doh! Burned again. Just relized this is another 2 year old thread Goober resurrected.

dear greyhunter, i can afford to be more civil with you than goobers #1 fan. i stand correct'd. up-date seems to strike a nerve (unintentionally). the purpose i resurrect some older threads is make contact and dig through the archieves. if they weren,t in some way useful, i think they would have been ditch'd. as for cross reply's oops, i'll to color in the lines more carefully. p/m will be use for contacts(like as with the the one i launch about the cv-90) thanx ,michael.

Maybe there are 2 versions, because all the photos I have seen show a curved indent to the cargo hatch rectangle.

Too funny to see this project as I had been wondering what to do with my DML M-16 quad 50's.

I'm ashamed to see how long I've had this build dormant. I can only blame it on the new baby for so long. May pick it back up during the holidays.

The new DML quad .50 turret with trailer would be a good choice to replace the one I'm using from the Tamiya M16 halftrack kit but I'm not sinking any more money into this build. Still have to convert 2 of the .50s from the Academy mg set to right hand feed.

We all have stuff to teach, learn, share, promote, support, dig up, etc. I like old threads for a couple of reasons. One, to motivate the builder ( which it just may do in this case. ) to return to the project and Two, it's all about sharing techniques and there's always something new to learn if ya haven't been here too long.
Bravo, the Bump!

Paul, get this bucket moving again!
