My next build;
Hasegawa 1:72 155mm Long Tom Artillery piece.
This kit is over 25 years old and needs to be treated exactly like a short run eastern European kit!
About a third of the way along construction wise now and the fit is good, but all the parts have mould part lines and some ejector marks. Nothing serious but still requiring the kit to be cleaned up part by part. Currently I am cleaning up each part until I have several ready to go then priming in black. Plenty of subassembly work to do yet.
I replaced the barrel by like diametre brass tube as the original moulded barrel was ovoid in shape and had nasty part lines. It was easier to cut a length of tube and bore out the breach area to accept it.
At this stage I will display it alone, just deployed, perhaps with some shells and box/tarp bits lying around
cheers
Mike

Looks, good. I've got this one in my pile and the upcoming arty campaign may be the spark that gets it out of dust and on the bench.
Will this be a static solo display or will you add a base/diorama?

I will add a base plus some accessories. Not sure exactly what as yet, no crew though.

Michael,
You take such good pictures. Would be nice to see some progressive pics as you build this gun. I also have this one in my pile. Looks like your off to a good start.

A quick update and equally quick ill posed images to match, to show a progress update. I was hoping to have this done before the 25th, but am now aiming for just before New Years Eve!
Once again, sorry about the image quality and the slight focus issues.
cheers
