Hi Jacques,
My sincere condolences. I have not lost anyone very close to me yet, but I see it often where I work and know that it can be very hard. Take time to recover yourself. I understand time is the best healer in these situations.

As hard as it is......to get back into something... it sometimes can be a kind of Therapy to help deal with it.... The Urge to build will come back...... It always does.

Jacques, my condolences as well. Losing a parent is difficult, I know, as today marks the eighth anniversary of my father's passing.
As long as you remember your mother, a part of her will always be with you. So keep on keeping on, there, guy.

Jacques,
My sincere condolences.
My mother died years ago, and I still miss her, and there are may days I wish I could pick up the phone and call her. Especially this time of year.

Jacques,
My most sincere condolences. My mother passed away due to breast cancer that spread to her bones and brain. From diagnosis to passing was 10 months and it was very hard to watch. She was 61. I moved in with my mom and dad to help them out and to be there for my dad. That was 13 years ago. LIke Grumpy, I too, at times, wish I could call her up.
I'll keep you in my prayers.

While I'm glad to see that you're back, it saddens me to hear of the circumstances that kept you away.
My deepest sympathies on your loss.

I'm sorry about your mom. I'm not a man of words so all I can say is hang in there. You're always welcome back to talk or catch up on various builds. Best of luck to you.

My condolences Jacques. Losing one's close family is hectic (personal experience), losing Ma or Pa should even be more hectic. Take some time, reorganize and get a grip. It is one of the things in life that kicks you in the gut, makes you more mature and sadly never fully heals.
My recommendation: Take your time and take it out on the plastic. We are with you.

Jacques, my condolences. My wife just flew to CA this AM because of the death of a family member. These kinds of things are facts of life, but that don't make it any easier.

Hi Jacques,
My condolences. I lost my own mother at age 52 to lung cancer some 12 years ago, so I know what you are going through.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the kind words.
My main problem has been trying to seperate my mind from what is going on around me to properly concenrate on building...and it is coming along. But there is some "guilt" involved, I feel like I am running away or trying to pretend it didn't really happen, when I do get a good session of modelling in. I realize that it is based on fear of forgetting...but I have dealt with this before and it is something I will be able to get through.
I am, however, very sad to hear of how many people have lost parents to cancer. Being a Biologist, I know a LOT more about what you are going through from the medical persepecitve and I wish none of us had to deal with this stuff.
On the good side, I am finishing up some commissioned kits that are pretty cool, but alas, not Russian in nature. I have a M1025 HMMWV w/scratchbuilt ASK, a M2A3 Bradley with scratchbuilt Commanders Independant Thermal Viewer, a M1, a M1A1, and a M60A1. Phew. That will take my mind off things...

My condolences at your loss. Do not let your ability to continue on with your life cause you guilt. I am sure that is what your mother would want you to do. My family will remember you in our prayers.

My condolences to you and yours as well. My mother lives and is still in good health, though my father died many years ago of a heart attack.
